Hörmann Up-and-Over Garage Doors
Hörmann's Berry up-and-over doors include the UK-assembled Series 2000 range. The steel doors are galvanised and finished with a polyester powder coating. Steel styles include Vertical, Horizontal, Chevron, Georgian, Ilkley, Caxton, Elegance and Finesse. Traffic White is standard, with a choice of colours and, on selected styles, Decograin Golden Oak or Rosewood wood-effect finishes.
Canopy and Retractable Up-and-Over Doors
We fit both main types. Canopy doors: part of the door sits out over the driveway when open, like a small canopy, a simple, dependable choice for single garages. Retractable doors: the whole door slides back into the garage. Hörmann describes retractable gear as ideally suited to automatic operation, and it comes in single and double sizes. Hörmann's up-and-over doors have finger-trap protection and spring safety features. They are also certified to European Standard EN 13241, and their rotary catch lock holds the corners of the door firmly to the frame.
Hörmann insulated sectional garage doors open straight up and tuck under the garage ceiling, so you can park right up to the door. According to Hörmann, they give up to 14 cm more drive-through width than an up-and-over and are sealed on all four sides. They're ideal for short driveways and for integral garages joined to the house.
The double-skinned LPU 42 has 42 mm thick insulated sections for very good thermal insulation and smooth, quiet running. It comes in Woodgrain, Silkgrain, Duragrain and Decograin finishes. Decograin offers five natural timber looks and a metallic anthracite. You can also pick Traffic White or one of 15 preferred colours. Hörmann's RenoMatic sectional also uses 42 mm double-skinned insulated sections, with a choice of styles, finishes and colours in a wide range of standard sizes.
Electric Operators, Remotes and Warranty
We can automate your new Hörmann door with a SupraMatic or ProMatic operator. SupraMatic is Hörmann's fast premium operator, with built-in Bluetooth for smartphone control through the Hörmann BlueSecur app, energy-efficient LED lighting and a stainless steel cover. ProMatic is a dependable, great-value operator with LED lighting and a handy ventilation position that leaves the door slightly open to air the garage. Both use Hörmann's encrypted BiSecur radio system and stop automatically if they meet an obstruction. Our electric installations come with two remote controls and a manual override, so you can still open the door by hand in a power cut.
